I don’t know if a lot of you know this about me, but I was actually born in Ireland. Hence, the aptly named ‘Colleen.’
My mother and father met in Dublin while she was vacationing and he was stationed there with the Army. They had a wild and crazy night and were married the next day…nine months later, I popped out. On St. Patty’s Day of all days! So, not only is tomorrow a celebratory day because I was born on the 17th of March in Ireland, but tomorrow is also the day after I spouted off a bunch of untruths on my blog about me being born in Ireland and tomorrow being my birthday. Because I wasn’t. Born in Ireland, that is. And it isn’t my birthday. Regardless, we should all wear green to celebrate the fact that my mother and father met in Dublin. Which they didn’t.
