After exactly one year on the road, my husband is back home. In 2011, he averaged about 48 days home out of 365. What a life! And for the first time in a year, all the laundry is almost done, the dishes are all done, supper has been cooked three times in a row, and the living room floor has been clean. It’s kind of strange. I got so used to being a single mom with a full-time job and an intense side hobby that took up all of my time and then some. Now when I come home from my eleven hour workday, supper is on the stove and the house is clean. I forgot how awesome my husband is. And not to mention the HOMEWORK! Oh my god, my children might have hope after all! He’s such a good dad. If I learned anything from this past year, it’s the fact that I was not made to be a single parent. Nope. Things were getting a little out of hand.
So to my dear, sweet husband. Welcome home. You are welcome to stay as long as you like…so long as you don’t play any Nickelback, Hinder or Daughtry while you live here. MMMMMKAY???
