Okay, so I was talking with a friend of mine about doodles, which got me to thinking about this guy I saw on that show SHARK TANK. His idea that he pitched was “I want to draw a cat for you.” He has a website, and he draws doodles of cats and sells them for ten bucks. So I just bought one! He’s going to draw a cat for me, and I’m going to hang it up in my office and look at it every single day. May not have been a necessary purchase, but I NEEDED it. Go buy yourself one but beware, his tune is catchy! http://iwanttodrawacatforyou.com/
In other news…I’m in love. SO in love. I finally caved and got an iphone today. I didn’t really know what Siri meant, but the salesman was adamant that I get the 4s. I was in the car with my mother and we pulled Siri up and started asking her random questions. How the heck have I gone this long without Siri? If I could advocate any unnecessary purchase, it would be that one. My only complaint would be that she wasn’t able to find us live chickens.
Speaking of live chickens, my mother and I went on a wild goose chase (or wild chicken chase?) searching for live chickens for her new chicken pen. A lot of you may not realize this, but I grew up on a dairy farm in East Texas. Still live there. We don’t milk cows anymore, but we now have chickens!
One more thing. My friend Tracey Garvis Graves’ best selling novel, On The Island, was picked up by a publisher. If you haven’t read it, you absolutely should. It’s a NYT best seller and it’s wonderful. If you want the ebook you can get it here! Highly recommend.
I can’t freaking wait for my cat doodle.
